Hit Mullen's with the crew.
Smoked a lot of weed. Tons of it.
Or not. Just had practice after work, we had to get ready for the big game on...
Saturday. Double Header against Rauner. Two losses. No dice. The kids tried and all, but they're just not really that talented. I have to say that although I'm a rookie coach and all, I still coached a pretty good game. I bunted people over, small-balled, walked the bases full to get out of a tough inning. Used the talent I had the best I could. It wasn't a total loss. The kids had a good time and I learned a few things. It's like a double-edged sword for me. Yes, I want them to shake off the loses, but get a little bent. I mean, I don't like to lose, but some of our kids just don't care. I'm not sure if that's their generation in general or just the population at work, but I've come across it often. This laissez-faire attitude. Well, I made it home and got ready for the rest of the day.
We hit Wrigleyville later that evening. We were meeting Julie and Mark at a Thai place for Mark's birthday. Quite a few people were there. Adam and his fiance, some other friends of theirs. After dinner we walked over to a neighborhood tap room, it was pretty random, we moved on, heh. Our move led us to the Long Room over by Lakeview. It's a cool little..err long place. Especially the lounge area in the back. We were able to just chill and drink. After a while we decided to move on, I guess they were going to continue partying for a while, Guitar Hero II was even mentioned. However, it'd been a long night and Melissa was ready to knock out, we called it a night and headed south. It sucked that I missed H, but it was well worth it. We had a good time and I know our company was appreciated.
Hit the park for a while, Seven Ten, and Target. Did some of the usual Sunday lazy lounging. Nothing super exciting or over the top. Well, except for the Aliens we fought off, but I'll save that story for another time.
